ASIS International and the ASIS Foundation are committed to providing support to our members during difficult times. If you have recently lost a job, had a serious illness, or have experienced another major hardship, then you may apply for support. Additional criteria:
- ASIS members in good standing can be considered for a membership renewal or re-certification hardship grant.
- Only ASIS certificants in good standing (and have completed the 60 required CPEs) will be considered for a recertification hardship. The grant application should not be submitted more than 90 days before the certification expires.
- Hardship for membership dues and fees needs will be considered on a case by case basis by the ASIS member engagement team.
- Hardship for recertification fees needs will be considered on a case by case basis by the ASIS certification team.

Subject to the criteria stated in the ASIS Hardship Policy, consideration for a hardship grant will be selected on an objective and non-discriminatory basis, without regard to race, age, gender, religion, political beliefs, employment status, or other factors that constitute unfair or illegal discrimination. Members may apply for and be awarded only one (1) hardship grant within a five (5) year period.
Applications must be submitted in English.
Grant applications will be reviewed by ASIS staff and all application materials will remain confidential. Names of grant recipients will also be confidential and will not be made public.
