Description

The ASIS Foundation, in partnership with the International Foundation for Protection Officers are offering scholarships to support individual advancement in the security profession. 

IFPO Certified Protection Officer (CPO) Scholarships*

The CPO (Certified Protection Officer) program is designed for security officers and students who wish to learn more about asset security/protection. It is aimed at individuals with a professional orientation. What’s the difference between a security guard and a professional security officer? Guard vs Professional Protection Officer. 

CPO Requirements:
Candidates must have six (6) months of full-time protection officer experience (or equivalent) or one year of part-time protection officer experience (or equivalent). Students enrolled in a recognized classroom training program may also qualify for this program.

IFPO Certified in Security Supervision and Management (CSSM) Scholarships*

The CSSM (Comprehensive Security Supervisors and Managers) program is designed for the benefit of Comprehensive Security Supervisors and Managers seeking to enhance their skills and knowledge in this specialized field, offering a wide range of tools, resources, and opportunities for hands-on learning to strengthen their professional performance and leadership in the security realm.

CSSM Requirements:
Candidates must have at least six (6) months of full-time experience in security supervision, with experience in law enforcement being acceptable. Enrollment in a higher education program in security is also valid. Demonstrating competency in operational security or equivalent is required, along with passing the CSSM theoretical knowledge exam and soft skills assessment.

*The IFPO scholarships are open to all security professionals and offered in English and Spanish programs. There is a portion of scholarships exclusively for women in security. ASIS MEMBERSHIP IS NOT REQUIRED.
