Outstanding New/Revitalized Chapter Award

Description
Objective
- This award recognizes a new or revitalized chapter for outstanding motivation, excellence, and service.
Eligibility
- "New" chapters must be active for a minimum of one (1) year and a maximum of five (5) years.
- "Revitalized" chapters must demonstrate progress after a minimum of one year experiencing the following:
- Has fewer than 15 members, or
- Has held no election of officers for 12 months, or
- Has held no meetings for 12 months, or
- Has not submitted reports for the year or has consistently submitted inadequate reports, or
- Has no signs of activity.
- No chapter may receive the award in consecutive years.
- Unsuccessful nominees may reapply in any following year.
Nominations
- Nominations may be submitted by any ASIS member in good standing.
- Nominations will only be evaluated for performance during the award year, defined as the previous calendar year (January to December).
- All nominations must be submitted via the online awards management platform by the publicized annual deadline.
Criteria
- Membership Growth
- Demonstrates notable growth in membership numbers or active participation during the award year.
- Events and Engagement
- Hosts regular events to engage members, foster a sense of community, and provide professional development opportunities.
- Communication and Transparency
- Communicates regularly with members, keeping them informed about chapter activities, opportunities, and decisions.
- Succession Planning and Sustainability
- Develops plans or initiatives to mentor new leaders and ensure the sustainability and longevity of the chapter.
Evaluation and Selection
- A Selection Committee will evaluate the nominees based on the established criteria to determine the winners.
- The Selection Committee will rely solely on the information provided in the nomination.
- Only one winner may be selected in any award year.
- The Selection Committee may opt not to select a winner if there are no deserving nominations.
- Notifications will be issued via the online awards management platform.
Recognition and Award
- Award recipients are formally recognized for their excellence and achievements at the annual Global Security Exchange.
- The award recipient will be provided with digital promotional graphics and a complimentary GSX All-Access Pass registration.
- Award recipients will be featured throughout the year in ASIS promotions and communications.
